"Bellina" just joined our household in July of 1999.  Her registered name is Coburn's Jene Sals Pas, and her breeder called her Pockets because, even at 8 weeks of age, she still fit into a coat pocket.  She may be petite in stature but she has a large heart – a very loving Borzoi who is integrating into the Moondance group beautifully.

A wonderful Whippet rescue person. Jenny Howe, drove to pick up (what she told would be a handful of Whippets from an elderly lady who realized she could no longer take of).  When Jenny arrived, there were the Whippets, several Italian Greyhounds, and a Borzoi named "Lizzy".  Jenny was told that she had to take all or none. Being the wonderful rescue person she is, she took all of them. Unfortunately, due to "Lizzy's" age (7 or 8 years) and a hip/rear leg problem, Jenny was unable to find a home for "Lizzy". So she called the National Borzoi Rescue Foundation, which is led by Carol Backers, a most incredible, devoted and dedicated individual.  Carol called me and asked if I could at least temporarily home "Lizzy". The answer was a definite yes. Jenny and I met and "Lizzy" came home with me.

As soon as I met her, she reminded me of Morticia Adams (from the Addams Family). Even though she is tri-colored, the tan is so slight, her head is mostly black and white, and that is continued on her body. So . . . her name is now "Morticia", or just "Ticia" for short. She has integrated beautifully with the rest of the Moondancers. She particularly likes the black leather 2-seat sofa in the TV room. "Bellina", another NBRF placement, owns the matching chair. The boys have to settle for the floor mats in that room. In the piano room, the roles are reversed - the boys share the 3-seat sofa and the girls take the floor mats.

Most importantly, the family has coalesced and "Morticia" is accepted as the newest Moondancer!
